Wow! It seems like you both really liked learning about lions! Did you have any idea that there were so many scriptures in the Bible about lions? 47! Did you know that Jesus is even referred to as a lion? Rev. 5:5 "Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book" Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah! Judah was Jesus' great-great-great-great (lots of greats) grandfather's tribe. (Both Mary and Joseph were grandchildren of Judah's)
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine Jesus as a Lion? Just like Aslan, huh? The Lion is the King of the animals- and now maybe you know why. Everyone who is in the Pride- is blessed by ONE leader, just like we are blessed by God!
Jeffrey- I like your scripture that you choose, did you notice why the lions were sent? Because the people didn't fear the Lord. Do you think that means 'be scared of'? Do you think God wants Him to be scared of Him? No! 'Fear' means respect. They didn't respect God- if you don't respect fire, your gonna get burned!
Joseph- I am surprised for 8 years old, how well you write- this could be a gift! I liked your use of explanation points and complex words, good job! You did a great job not coping Jeffrey's comments. I like your scripture choice too! Again we hear about Judah. He was a great man- there was once even a Kingdom named Judah. Judah means "praise". His mother was very sad when she named him- but named him "Judah" which means "I will praise God anyway." When we are sad, and praise God anyway- it sends God a message, that we will love Him NO MATTER WHAT! He loves this! He pays close attention to His praises! Scripture even says that "He inhabits the praises of His people!" That means- He lives with us when we praise!
Great job boys!
